A few Of Our Favorite Dive Sites

Anguilla offers a wide range of dive experiences, with depths ranging from 20 to 100 feet. The Scuba Shack is strategically located in Sandy Ground at Roy’s Bayside Grill due to its calm seas, easy entry and exit on our vessel, and central location on the island. This positioning ensures convenient access to a variety of dive and snorkel sites, all within a 20-minute boat ride.

You’ll explore over 20 vibrant reef dives and 7 fascinating steel-hull freighters that have become stunning artificial reefs. The island also boasts 5 wall dives at the offshore keys of Dog Island and Scrub Island, providing thrilling challenges for advanced divers.

Ooster Diep Wreck: A sunken steel-hull freighter resting upright at a depth of approximately 50-90 feet. This site is ideal for divers seeking a blend of marine life and historical intrigue. The wreck’s structure is home to a variety of fish and coral formations, creating a vibrant underwater experience.

Cathy-H Wreck: This wreck lies in waters around 30-60 feet deep, offering divers a chance to observe a diverse array of marine species. The Cathy-H exemplifies Anguilla's commitment to creating artificial reefs and fostering marine biodiversity.

Sara Wreck: Situated at depths between 30-80 feet, the Sara is one of Anguilla’s popular wreck dives. Covered with sponges and soft corals, it serves as a habitat for fish such as barracudas, snappers, and occasional nurse sharks.

Meppel Wreck: A unique site featuring a wreck at depths of approximately 50-70 feet. The Meppel is encrusted with colorful coral and provides shelter for various reef fish and invertebrates. Divers can explore nooks and crannies that house lobsters and eels.

Deep South Reef: Known for its stunning topography, this reef starts at around 50 feet and descends to 80 feet. The reef boasts large sponges, gorgonians, Caribbean Reef Sharks, Turtles and occasional eagle ray sightings.

Sandy Deep Reef: This reef, with depths ranging from 20-60 feet, is characterized by sandy channels interspersed with coral heads. It is known for sightings of garden eels, turtles, and occasional reef sharks.

Anguillita Reef: Located near Anguillita Island, this site combines wall and reef diving. It begins at around 40 feet and drops to 80-100 feet. Divers can spot schools of jacks, barracudas, and turtles navigating the reef’s tunnels and overhangs.

No Name Reef: A hidden gem featuring a mix of hard and soft corals at depths between 30 and 80 feet. This site is ideal for observing macro life, such as nudibranchs and shrimp, alongside larger residents like moray eels and parrotfish.

Captain Turtle: True to its name, this site frequently features turtles gliding along the reef. With depths from 20 to 60 feet, it’s accessible to divers of all levels. The reef is adorned with sea fans, sponges, and a variety of tropical fish.
